Twelveacres, Inc.

Twelveacres is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization based in Santa Clara County, California, offering housing with 24/7 assisted care and community activity for students of Christian Science with special needs and abilities. We provide compassionate, practical, and prayerful support in residential home settings, creating a nurturing environment where each home operates lovingly as a family.

Twelveacres provides daily Christian Science nursing care, special education, and enriching church and community activities for both ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents. Integral to the Twelveacres experience are weekly Bible Lessons, inspirational lectures, hymn sings, church services, and learning new skills such as artwork and cooking. Residents also have access to community activities including farmer’s markets, libraries, sports venues, animal farms, parks, and shopping malls.

Twelveacres has developed a Special Needs curriculum and student materials with 4 modules intended to complement the Christian Science nursing education levels. Classes have been in process since 2023 for Christian Science nurses. There is also a workshop for caregivers serving in a Christian Science environment who may interact with guests, patients, or residents.

Volunteers are warmly welcomed to support our residents in-person or via Zoom by reading Christian Science periodicals, the Bible Lesson, Christian Science literature, or by sharing their favorite hobbies such as gardening, art, cooking, or music.

With the dedicated assistance of our staff and Christian Science practitioners, residents at Twelveacres purely rely on Christian Science treatment as they experience a reawakening of abilities and achieve greater independence, progress, and healing.
