Dear Colleagues,
Christian Science nursing stands ready to serve every man, woman and child seeking whole and complete healing through prayer. Preserving the longevity of Christian Science nursing in facility settings remains a most precious goal. We invite you to join together to help ensure that Christian Science nursing is readily available in your community, not just for the next year, but the next 100 years and beyond.
Inspired by Psalms 61:2 “Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,” the 2010 AOCSN Conference offers a spiritual focus that will lead to a heightened understanding of Christian Science nursing in a way that is big enough to sustain us.
The preliminary agenda for our conference is attached, and as you can see, we have scheduled sessions that will be practical and inspiring. In addition, we are planning ample time for group discussion of ideas of interest to us all.
The conference will be in Boulder, Colorado, on September 9-11, but you won’t want to miss coming early in the day on Wednesday, September 8, for a pre-conference meeting convened by Linda Kohler from The Mother Church. This afternoon gathering is for the purpose of considering concepts on accreditation in the unique context of Christian Science nursing. We anticipate a unifying and strengthening dialogue, as we reach for the “rock that is higher than I.”
As we all prepare for our conference, let’s join together at the invitation of our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, “As you journey, and betimes sigh for rest ‘beside the still waters,’ ponder this lesson of love. Learn its purpose; and in hope and faith, where hearts meets hearts reciprocally blest, drink with me the living waters of the spirit of my life-purpose, — to impress humanity with the genuine recognition of practical, operative Christian Science.”

With loving gratitude,
The 2010 Agenda Planning Committee
… and the joyous affirmation that concludes Psalms 61, “So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.”
